To the Patrons of Littlefield ISD:

Happy Labor Day!  I trust your holiday will be filled with time to share with family and friends.  This is a reminder that we will be out of school on Monday, September 4 and will return on Tuesday at regular time.  Be safe and enjoy your time!

Homecoming 2023 is here!  With that being said, there will be numerous activities at our campuses throughout the week.  I encourage to look at our school website for the most up to date list.  www.lfdisd.org   Congratulations to the following young ladies who were nominated by the Varsity Football team for Homecoming Queen.  They are:  Kennadi Hanlin, Amiah Elizondo, and Julie Bownds.  The crowning ceremony will take place at halftime against the Post Antelopes on Friday, September 8.  Congratulations, Ladies!

Our Primary campus held their annual “Community Picnic” and it was a huge success!  Families had the opportunity to visit with their child(ren’s) teacher along with enjoying a meal provided by Kingdom Come Ministries out of Lubbock, Texas.    Thank You, Staci, Primary Staff, Parents and Kingdom Come Ministries!  YOU ARE APPRECIATED!

This school year marks my 40th year in PUBLIC EDUCATION and I will be retiring at the end of the 23-24 school year.  It seems like yesterday that I was beginning my stint as the new high school principal for LISD.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my job(s) with LISD and will always be grateful for my time with the students, staff, and Board of Trustees.   We have exceptional students and a top-notch group of teachers and administrators.  I have certainly been blessed to be a part of the tradition.

It is my honor to introduce our Varsity Cheerleaders for the 23-24 school year.  Kennadi Hanlin – Co-Captain, Lindsay Coffman – Co-Captain, Haylee Casas, Cali Saldana, Bryndle Ray, Aleigha Camargo, Nevaeh Lopez, Cobi Saldana, and Mascot, Rhealee Golden.

Our JV Cheerleaders are:  Tie’Ajae Chambers, Brianna Martinez, Gabby Medina, Kayla Luevanos, Makinzi Tyler, Jaelyn Tijerina, Maggie McNeese, Alexis Garza and Mascot, Kayla Castillo.

Our Bell Ringers and Flag runners are:  Ja’Den Williams, Xavier Champion, Julie Bownds, Chloe Sawyer, Danica Jouett, Ryan Williams, and Kam McCarty.  A special shout out to our sponsors --  Trisha Nelson and Alana Carr.  YOU ARE APPRECIATED!
